Please Help Out Pack 12

Pack 12 is 100% run by volunteers. Dads, moms, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles all believe scouting is an outstanding activitiy for their Cub Scout. We realize that you are already busy with all that life currently offers, and that you may be shy/uncertain about carving out any of your precious time to volunteer. Perhaps this article about a 'Reluctant Den Leader' can help you better appreciate the need, and gratitude for volunteering for your Cub Scout. That is why we have tried to simply describe what we need help with, what we need you to do, how long we think it takes to complete the role, and when it needs to be done. The following roles are crucial to the successful program of Pack 12 (which means excited, energized and engaged Cub Scouts). Some are part time, some are a year long committment, some require you to become trained. Please consider helping out your Cub Scout, and Pack 12 through any of the following roles:
- Good Turn Week Coordinator (Part time, September through December) - Currently Open.
- Tiger Cub Den Leader(s) (Full time, September through August.) Currently have four, we need at least one more for Den 2.
- Treasurer (Full time, September through August). Currently Filled.
- Scout Show Coordinator: (Part time, January through April). Responsible for registering Pack 12 for the Scout Show in April. Design, build and test the booth for the show, and coordinate with the Pack for scouts and parents to staff the booth during the show.
- Scout Show Ticket Sales Coordinator: Currently Filled. (Part time, January through April). Responsible for driving the Scout Show Ticket Sales fundraiser for Pack 12. Register Pack 12 for the sales, receive the tickets, manage the sales through the Dens and at King Soopers, and return monies to the Pack and Denver Area Council.
- Camp Coordinator: (Part time, October through May). Responsible for coordinating Pack 12's summer camp program. Includes working with the Denver Area Council to understand the fees, deadlines, and reservation slots. Work with parents of the Pack to fill out applications, provide checks for fees, and submit to Denver Area Council, and update Pack on any news or changes to the camping program.
- Recruitment Coordinator: (Part time August through February). Responsible for running the Fall Recruiting program, and annual Re-Charter in January. Involves attending recruiting meetings with the Denver Area Council, the Pack Committee for plans, and finding resources to assist in both registrations. Includes getting news into the Trails West Newsletter, putting up signs and brochures, staffing a booth at Back-To-School night, and planning the Round-up Night. Also includes getting applications completed, collect fees, and finding Den Leaders for new Dens.
- Popcorn Sales Coordinator:(Part time, July through November). Current Popcorn chair will not be back next year, and we are looking for someone to volunteer before he leaves. Responsible for getting Pack registered for Popcorn program, attending key District meetings, setting goals and working with committee on plans and approach for popcorn sales. Also responsible for ordering and distributing the popcorn.
